Is this book safe if I have trauma?

Yes. This book was written by a CPTSD survivor, for trauma survivors. Everything is designed to be nervous-system-friendly. There are no exercises that force you to relive pain, no toxic positivity, and no "just get over it" energy. You can go at your own pace, skip what doesn't serve you, and come back when you're ready. Your safety matters more than any technique.

Is this just another affirmation book?

Absolutely not. This book is actually about why affirmations often fail—especially for trauma survivors whose brains reject statements that feel like lies. Instead, you'll learn afformations (questions that bypass your inner critic), the Joy Audit (a tool to map where your energy actually goes), and the W.H.A.T. I.F. process for making decisions from alignment, not anxiety.

Do I have to be spiritual?

Nope. While there are some woo-woo elements (hello, full moon rituals), everything in this book is grounded in neuroscience and psychology too. You can take what resonates and leave the rest. The tools work whether you believe in the universe, God, your higher self, or just really good brain science.
